Meet Your Teacher

Evelin Skarlatos
Evelin’s relationship with dance began at the age of three in Greece, where she trained in classical ballet through the Royal Academy of Dance methodology and later expanded her studies into modern and contemporary dance. After completing her professional dance teacher training in Thessaloniki with honours, she continued her education in Switzerland at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), completing a Master of Arts in Teaching and Coaching Dance Professionals.
Throughout her career, Evelin has worked across teaching, performance and choreographic projects in Greece and Switzerland. She also worked with the BA Contemporary Dance programme at ZHdK as an assistant choreographer, an experience that further shaped her understanding of movement, choreography and professional dance practice.
Teaching has always been at the heart of her work. Over many years, Evelin has taught dancers of different ages and backgrounds. While she deeply enjoys working with children, teaching adults holds a particularly special place for her. She loves seeing adults discover what their bodies are capable of, gain confidence, and experience the joy of learning ballet in an environment that feels supportive rather than intimidating.
This passion became one of the main inspirations behind Dance For You — a space where adults can learn ballet with proper technique, care and attention, while still enjoying the process. Evelin’s classes combine professional knowledge with warmth, patience and a genuine love for teaching.
For her, ballet is not simply about achieving a perfect line. It is about music, movement, expression and the feeling of becoming more comfortable and confident in your own body.
